The Gold Coast Baby!

By: Souleo
On November 13th, plenty of celebrities wanted to be on the inside as they all came out for the Inside Film Awards held at Royal Pines Crowne Plaza on the Gold Coast.  The Inside Film Awards are the people’s choice awards for Australian films.

Actor Hugo Weaving was there along with an unidentified male guest.  Since we don’t know who the guy is we’ll reserve any sarcastic comments, but Mr. No-Name Mate better watch out for us next time.

The world’s sexiest mermaid, actress Indiana Evans, looked pretty in blue.  Indiana is now appearing on the international hit, “H2O: Just Add Water.”  Her departure from the hit soap “Home & Away” came as a shock earlier this year, but it looks like she’s back on her tail-I mean two feet.  Excuse the lame Mermaid joke.

One of our favorite comedians and actresses, Rebel Wilson, passed through.  Rebel recently launched her new fashion line “Fat Mindi,” named after the poplar character she created on “The Wedge.”  The line is proud to be 100% fully fat which is great.  Now when ladies ask their lovers if they look fat and get a yes response, they have no one else to blame but Fat Mindi.

Other celebrities included actress Susie Porter, Sigrid Thornton, actor/director Nash Edgerton, and more.

Take A Nice Broadbeach Dinner

By: The OZtralia Producers

We have spent our fair share of time in Broadbeach. It is really nice to go out to dinner here if you are staying on the Gold Coast. How do we say this politely? It is a bit more “upper class” than Surfers Paradise.Broadbeach is becoming famous for its high rise apartment buildings. Also, if you are looking to shop, check out Pacific Fair which is also the transportation center for the Gold Coast. Also in Broadbeach you will find the ever so famous Conrad Jupiters Casino, and the Gold Coast Convention Center which brings in a lot of neat events to the Gold Coast.

An Escape From Surfer’s Paradise

By: The OZtralia Producers

We call the the Gold Coast “OZtralia.tv home base” for good reason. There is such a diversity of things to see and do on the Gold Coast. Sometimes though, a person just needs to immerse themselves in nature, and you can do exactly that by visiting the Hinterland just outside of Surfer’s Paradise. The McPherson Range is full of great scenery and plenty of trails for you to explore. There are two cities/towns that are polar centers for the Gold Coast being Mudgerraba and Nerang.

We say you should check out Springbrook National Park which is right around Mt. Cougal. Also you should check out Lamington National Park which is full of fantastic rainforest scenery.

Australia’s Playground

By: The OZtralia Producers

Australia’s Gold Coast is often referred to as the “party playground” of Australia. Situated on the southeast corner of Queensland, tens of thousands of people travel to the Gold Coast to vacation each year. Known for its subtropical climate, beaches, night life and skyline, we recommend the Gold Coast as a great vacation destination.

Tourists started coming to the Gold Coast back in 1925 after Mr. Jim Cavill opened the Surfers Paradise Hotel.

Today, the main city on the Gold Coast is Surfer’s Paradise. The city recently received international acclaim with the opening of the Q1 tower, which was for a time the world’s tallest residential building.

What we enjoy most about the Gold Coast is the diversity of activities. You can enjoy the amazing beaches, then have an great dinner in Broadbeach, then go and dance the night away at a trendy club.

Not an urban person? Head out and be delighted by the Hinterland just outside of Surfer’s Paradise. When you go to the Hinterland, be sure to check out the “Best of All Lookout.” Here you will see the the best view of the Gold Coast.

Surfing Australia’s Gold Coast

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

When it comes to riding the waves, I am not the best out there on the open water. For me, it is more about getting up early, sometimes at six, and making my way to the beach with my mates. I usually lie on my board and roll around on the waves. If I lay parallel to the beach, on one side of me is the great blue South Pacific, and on the other, is the white sand beach it is relaxing. Once in a while, I will get all excited, and paddle to catch a wave.

Gold Coast, Australia - Indy Fever

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

Browned bikini babes, beautiful beaches, fast cars and four days of entertainment is gracing Australia’s premier holiday destination, the Gold Coast.

If you are thinking of travelling to Australia be sure to book tickets to the Lexmark Indy 300 from October 18-21 and experience an atmosphere wilder than New Years Eve in New Yorks Times Square.

Watch champ cars and V8 Supercars screaming down straights and battling through bends as they fight it out along popular beachside tracks at speeds over 300km/h. Add in stunt shows and the SEA FM Air show and it’s sure to be an occasion to remember.
